You’re getting a full windshield replacement or repair, not a patch job. That includes removal of the old glass, proper cleaning and prep of the frame, installation of OEM or high-quality aftermarket glass, and a lifetime warranty on materials and labor.
For newer vehicles, ADAS calibration is part of the process. Over 80% of cars on Long Island roads now have at least one advanced driver assistance feature. If your windshield has a camera mounted behind the rearview mirror, that camera has to be recalibrated after the glass is replaced. The angle and positioning are precise—off by even a few millimeters, and your lane-keeping or collision alerts won’t function correctly.
We also handle sunroof glass, door windows, back glass, and side mirrors. If it’s glass on your vehicle and it’s broken, we can fix it or replace it. Insurance claims are managed start to finish, so you’re not filing paperwork or waiting on approvals alone.

If your car has an ADAS camera that needs recalibration, add another 30 to 45 minutes. The calibration has to be done with the vehicle stationary using specific targets and equipment. It’s not optional—your safety systems won’t work right without it.
You’ll need to wait a few hours before driving, depending on temperature and humidity. The adhesive has to cure fully, or you risk the windshield shifting or leaking. We’ll give you an exact timeframe before we leave. Most people schedule us in the morning and are good to drive by afternoon.
Most comprehensive auto insurance policies in New York cover windshield replacement with little or no deductible. Some carriers waive the deductible entirely for glass claims.
We work directly with all major insurance companies. You give us your policy information, we contact them, and we handle the approval and billing. You’re not stuck on hold with your insurance company or waiting for checks to clear.
If you have a deductible, we’ll let you know upfront what you’re responsible for. There are no surprise bills after the work is done. If you’re paying out of pocket without insurance, we give you a flat quote before we schedule anything. The price doesn’t change once we start the job.
ADAS stands for Advanced Driver Assistance Systems. If your car has features like lane departure warnings, automatic emergency braking, or adaptive cruise control, there’s a camera mounted in your windshield that makes those systems work.
When the windshield is replaced, that camera has to be recalibrated. The new glass might sit at a slightly different angle, or the camera position shifts during installation. Even a small change throws off the system’s accuracy.
Calibration involves parking your car in a specific setup, placing targets in front of the vehicle, and using diagnostic equipment to reset the camera’s alignment. It takes about 30 to 45 minutes and has to be done by someone with the right tools. Skipping it means your safety features might not work when you need them. We handle it onsite as part of the windshield replacement, so you’re not making a second trip to a dealership or specialty shop.
It depends on the size, location, and depth of the damage. If the crack or chip is smaller than a dollar bill, not directly in the driver’s line of sight, and hasn’t penetrated through multiple layers of the glass, repair is usually possible.
Repairs work by injecting a resin into the damaged area, which bonds the glass and stops the crack from spreading. It’s faster and cheaper than replacement, and most insurance companies cover it with no deductible.
If the crack is longer than six inches, in the driver’s view, or if the damage has compromised the structural integrity of the windshield, replacement is the safer option. A windshield is part of your car’s safety system—it supports the roof in a rollover and helps airbags deploy correctly. We’ll assess the damage and tell you honestly whether repair or replacement makes sense. If repair works, we’ll do that. If it doesn’t, we’ll explain why.
We offer both OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) glass and high-quality aftermarket glass, depending on what you need and what your insurance covers.
OEM glass is made by the same manufacturer that supplied the glass for your car when it was built. It’s an exact match in fit, thickness, and tint. Some insurance policies require or prefer OEM glass, especially for newer or luxury vehicles.
Aftermarket glass is made by third-party manufacturers to meet or exceed the same safety standards. It fits correctly and performs the same job, usually at a lower cost. For most drivers, aftermarket glass is a solid choice that doesn’t compromise safety or quality.
We’ll walk you through the options and let you know what your insurance will cover. If you have a preference, we’ll work with that. Either way, the installation process is the same, and the lifetime warranty applies to both.
