You don’t have time to sit in a shop lobby. You need your windshield fixed now, done right, and without disrupting your day.
That’s what mobile service actually means. We come to your home, your office, or wherever your car is parked in Southampton, handle the repair or replacement on-site, and calibrate any cameras or sensors that keep your safety systems working. You’re not juggling drop-offs or arranging rides.
If you’re dealing with insurance, we handle that too. Direct billing with all major carriers means fewer calls, less paperwork, and usually no out-of-pocket cost beyond your deductible. The work is backed by a lifetime warranty, so if anything goes wrong down the road, we fix it.
Twenty years in this business teaches you what matters. It’s not just replacing glass—it’s understanding how modern vehicles work, what insurance companies require, and what customers in Southampton actually need when their windshield cracks on Montauk Highway.
First Class Auto Glass has been serving Long Island since 2016, but the experience behind it goes back decades. We’re Dinitrol certified and a New York State certified mobile repair shop. More than 10,000 jobs completed, most of them for drivers with newer cars that have front-facing cameras and advanced safety features.
You’re not getting a subcontractor or someone different every time. You’re getting the owner, someone who knows this area, understands the roads you drive, and has the equipment to handle the technology in your vehicle.
You reach out with details about your vehicle and the damage. We confirm your insurance coverage if you’re filing a claim, or provide a straightforward quote if you’re paying out of pocket. Most jobs get scheduled same-day or next-day, including weekends.
We arrive at your location with everything needed—the right glass for your make and model, adhesives that meet or exceed OEM standards, and calibration equipment for any cameras or sensors. The windshield comes out, the new one goes in, and we let it cure properly. No rushing.
If your car has ADAS features like lane departure warnings or automatic braking, we calibrate those systems on-site. This isn’t optional—it’s required for those systems to function correctly after a windshield replacement. We handle it as part of the service, not an upsell.
Before we leave, we walk you through what was done, answer any questions, and make sure everything works. You get documentation for your records and insurance, plus warranty information.

Every job includes the glass itself, professional installation, and cleanup. We’re talking OEM-quality materials, not the cheapest option we can source. The adhesive we use is designed for your specific vehicle and meets all safety standards.
For vehicles with cameras mounted to the windshield—and that’s most cars built after 2018—ADAS calibration is part of the service. Your lane-keeping assist, collision warning, and automatic emergency braking all depend on those cameras being aligned perfectly. We use professional calibration rigs to ensure everything works exactly as it should.
Southampton drivers deal with a mix of highway driving, beach traffic, and winding back roads. Your windshield isn’t just glass—it’s a structural component and, increasingly, part of your car’s safety system. When a rock chips it on Route 27 or a branch cracks it during a storm, you need someone who understands both the repair and the technology.
We also handle sunroof repairs, side window replacements, and back glass. If it’s glass on your vehicle and it’s damaged, we can fix it. Insurance claims get filed and processed directly—we’re approved with all major carriers serving Nassau and Suffolk Counties.
Most comprehensive auto insurance policies in New York cover windshield damage with little to no deductible. Some policies waive the deductible entirely for repairs, though replacements typically require you to pay your standard comprehensive deductible.
We work directly with all major insurance companies. That means we can verify your coverage before scheduling, file the claim on your behalf, and bill the insurance company directly. You’re not paying upfront and waiting for reimbursement.
If you’re unsure about your coverage, call us with your policy information. We can check your benefits in a few minutes and let you know exactly what you’ll owe, if anything. The process is straightforward when you work with a shop that handles insurance claims regularly.
The actual installation takes about an hour for most vehicles. ADAS calibration adds another 30 to 45 minutes, depending on your car’s systems. Plan on roughly 90 minutes to two hours from start to finish.
The adhesive needs time to cure before you can drive the vehicle. We use fast-cure urethanes that are safe for driving within an hour after we finish, but we’ll give you specific guidance based on temperature and humidity that day. Colder weather can extend cure times slightly.
You don’t need to be present the entire time. Many customers in Southampton have us come to their workplace, and they go back inside while we handle everything. We’ll let you know when we’re done and walk you through what was completed.
ADAS stands for Advanced Driver Assistance Systems. These are the safety features in newer vehicles—things like lane departure warnings, automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, and collision alerts. Most of these systems rely on a camera mounted behind your windshield.
When that windshield is replaced, the camera’s position shifts slightly. Even a millimeter of misalignment can throw off the entire system. Calibration realigns the camera so it reads the road correctly and your safety features work as designed.
This isn’t a dealer-only service, and it’s not optional. New York State requires proper calibration after windshield replacement on vehicles equipped with these systems. We handle it on-site with professional equipment, the same way a dealership would, but without the dealership price or the need to drive there.
Chips smaller than a quarter and cracks shorter than three inches can usually be repaired, as long as they’re not directly in the driver’s line of sight. Repairs are faster and cheaper than replacement, and most insurance companies cover them with no deductible.
If the damage is larger, in the driver’s view, or at the edge of the windshield where it compromises structural integrity, replacement is the safer option. We’ll assess the damage honestly and tell you which route makes sense.
Repairs take about 30 minutes. We inject a specialized resin into the damaged area, cure it with UV light, and polish the surface. The chip won’t disappear completely, but it stops spreading and restores most of the windshield’s strength. Replacement is the right call when repair won’t hold or won’t be safe.
We cover Southampton, the surrounding Hamptons area, and all of Suffolk and Nassau Counties. That includes towns like East Hampton, Bridgehampton, Sag Harbor, Riverhead, and west through Nassau into parts of Queens.
Mobile service means we come to you, whether that’s your home in Southampton Village, your office in Hampton Bays, or a job site in Westhampton. We’re not limited to a shop location—if you’re within our service area and need auto glass work, we’ll get there.
Same-day and next-day appointments are available most of the time, including weekends. Long Island traffic and distances mean we schedule routes efficiently, but we’re not making you wait a week for service. Call in the morning, and there’s a good chance we can be there that afternoon.
Every windshield replacement and repair we do is backed by a lifetime warranty. If the glass fails, the seal leaks, or the installation develops any defect, we’ll fix it at no charge for as long as you own the vehicle.
This covers workmanship and materials, not damage from new impacts. If another rock hits your windshield next month, that’s a separate claim. But if the adhesive fails or the glass wasn’t installed correctly, we take care of it.
The warranty transfers if you sell the vehicle, which can be a selling point for buyers. We stand behind the work because we’re using quality materials and doing the job right the first time. You’re not dealing with a national chain where the tech who did your install might not be around next year—we’re local, and we’ll be here.
