Hear From Our Customers
You don’t have time to drive across town, sit in a waiting room, and hope they can fit you in. That’s why we come to you—your driveway, your office parking lot, wherever works.
Most windshield replacements take 45 minutes to two hours, start to finish. That includes removing the damaged glass, installing a new windshield that fits your vehicle’s exact specs, and calibrating any cameras or sensors if your car has them. You’re not losing half a day.
If your car has a front-facing camera—and most vehicles from the last few years do—it needs recalibration after the windshield comes out. We handle that on-site with the right equipment. No second appointment. No extra trip to a shop that may or may not have the tools. You get a windshield that’s installed correctly and safety systems that actually work the way they’re supposed to.
We’ve been serving Salisbury and the rest of Long Island since 2016, but the experience behind the work goes back over 20 years. We’re a New York State certified mobile repair shop, Dinitrol certified, and owner-operated—which means when you call, you’re talking to someone who actually does the work.
We’ve completed more than 10,000 windshield repairs and replacements across Nassau and Suffolk Counties. Most of our customers come through insurance referrals or word of mouth, and a lot of them drive newer vehicles with advanced safety features. That’s not by accident. When your car has lane-keeping assist or automatic braking, the windshield replacement has to be done right, or those systems won’t function properly.
Salisbury drivers deal with the same road debris, temperature swings, and daily wear that crack windshields everywhere else on Long Island. We’ve seen it all, and we know what it takes to fix it correctly the first time.
You call or message us with details about your vehicle and the damage. We’ll ask about your car’s make, model, and year, and whether you’re going through insurance. From there, we give you a quote and find a time that works—often same-day if it’s urgent.
We show up at your location with everything needed to do the job. That includes the replacement windshield, calibration equipment if your vehicle has ADAS features, and all the tools to remove the old glass and install the new one. You don’t need to provide anything or prep the area.
The old windshield comes out carefully to avoid damage to the frame or any sensors. The new one goes in with high-grade adhesive that needs a bit of time to cure. If your car has a camera mounted near the rearview mirror, we recalibrate it on-site using a static calibration process. That involves precise alignment to make sure your safety systems can “see” correctly.
Once everything’s installed and calibrated, we clean up and walk you through what was done. You’ll get documentation for your records, and if insurance covered it, we handle all the billing directly. The whole process usually wraps up in under two hours, and you’re good to drive right after.
Ready to get started?
Every windshield replacement includes the glass itself—either OEM or high-quality aftermarket depending on your preference and what your insurance covers. You also get a lifetime warranty against the damage spreading from the original repair point or any issues with the installation’s structural integrity.
If your vehicle has advanced driver assistance systems, the service includes full ADAS calibration. That means diagnostic scanning before we start, sensor alignment during installation, and system verification after. A lot of shops skip this or charge separately. We build it into the process because it’s not optional—your safety features won’t work right without it.
Salisbury sees its share of winter road salt, summer heat, and the kind of gravel that flies up on the LIE and Route 107. Those conditions wear on windshields faster than you’d think. A small chip can turn into a crack that spans the whole windshield in a matter of days, especially when temperatures swing. If the damage is smaller than a dollar bill and not directly in your line of sight, repair is usually possible. Anything larger, and replacement makes more sense.
We work directly with all major insurance companies. If you have glass coverage with no deductible—which is common in New York—you likely won’t pay anything out of pocket. We file the claim, handle the paperwork, and bill them directly.
The cost depends on your vehicle and whether it has advanced safety features. A standard windshield replacement typically runs between $300 and $500. If your car has a front-facing camera or other ADAS sensors, expect closer to $700 to $1,000 because of the calibration work involved.
That’s not a markup—it’s the reality of modern vehicles. Calibration requires specialized equipment and a process that takes time to do correctly. Skipping it isn’t an option if you want your lane-keeping assist, collision warning, or automatic braking to function.
Most of our Salisbury customers go through insurance, and many have separate glass coverage with zero deductible. If that’s your situation, you won’t pay anything. We verify your coverage before we schedule and handle all the billing on the back end so there’s no surprise costs.
We come to you. That’s the whole point of mobile service. Your driveway, workplace parking lot, or anywhere else in Salisbury that’s accessible and has enough space to work safely.
The only exception is if your vehicle needs dynamic calibration, which requires driving the car on specific road types while the system recalibrates. Most cars use static calibration, which we handle on-site with a calibration frame and targets. We’ll let you know during scheduling if your vehicle is one of the rare cases that needs something different.
Mobile service isn’t just convenient—it’s often faster. You’re not waiting in line behind other customers or dealing with shop hours that don’t match your schedule. We block out time specifically for your vehicle, show up when we say we will, and get it done without you having to rearrange your day.
In New York, you can add separate glass coverage to your auto policy that waives the deductible for windshield repairs and replacements. A lot of drivers have this and don’t realize it. Check your policy or call your insurance company to confirm.
If you do have glass coverage, you won’t pay anything out of pocket for the replacement. We work directly with all the major insurers—Geico, State Farm, Progressive, Allstate, and others. We file the claim, send them the documentation, and bill them directly.
Even if you don’t have separate glass coverage, filing a claim often makes sense now that windshield replacement costs have gone up. What used to be a $300 job is now $700 to $1,000 for vehicles with cameras and sensors. If your deductible is $500, you’re still saving money by going through insurance. We’ll walk you through the numbers before you decide.
Plan for about 45 minutes to two hours, depending on your vehicle. A straightforward replacement without ADAS takes less time. If we’re calibrating a front camera or other sensors, it adds to the process but usually keeps you under two hours total.
We’re not rushing. The adhesive needs to set correctly, and calibration has to be done with precision or your safety systems won’t work. Doing it right matters more than doing it fast.
You can wait with the vehicle or step away—most people in Salisbury just go back inside while we work. We’ll let you know when we’re done. The car is safe to drive immediately after, though we recommend avoiding car washes for the first 24 hours to let the adhesive fully cure.
ADAS stands for Advanced Driver Assistance Systems—things like lane departure warning, automatic emergency braking, and adaptive cruise control. These systems rely on cameras and sensors, and many of them are mounted on or near your windshield.
When the windshield comes out, those cameras lose their calibration. Even a millimeter of misalignment can throw off the system’s accuracy, which means your car might not brake when it should or could give you false warnings. Calibration realigns everything so the systems work exactly as designed.
We use static calibration for most vehicles, which involves setting up a frame with specific targets in front of your car while the system recalibrates. It’s precise work, and it’s not optional if you want your safety features to function. Some shops skip it or tell customers it’s not necessary to save time. That’s dangerous. If your car came with these systems, they need to be calibrated after any windshield replacement.
If the chip is smaller than a dollar bill and not directly in your line of sight, repair is usually possible. We inject a specialized resin into the damaged area, which bonds with the glass and stops the damage from spreading. It’s quick, effective, and a lot cheaper than replacement.
If the chip is larger, if it’s in your direct sightline, or if it’s already started to crack, replacement is the safer option. Windshields are structural—they support your roof in a rollover and help airbags deploy correctly. A compromised windshield doesn’t do either of those things well.
Salisbury’s weather doesn’t help. Temperature swings between winter cold and summer heat make small chips expand into full cracks fast. If you’re on the fence, get it looked at sooner rather than later. We’ll give you an honest assessment of whether repair will hold or if replacement makes more sense for your situation.
