Hear From Our Customers
Your car stays where it is. We come to you—home, office, wherever works. You’re not burning half a day sitting in a lobby or arranging rides because your windshield cracked on the Meadowbrook.
If you’re filing an insurance claim, we handle the paperwork directly with your carrier. Most customers in New York pay little to nothing out of pocket because glass coverage often comes with no deductible. We know what your insurance needs, and we make sure it’s done right the first time.
And if your car was built after 2016, there’s a good chance it has a camera mounted near the rearview mirror. That camera runs your lane assist, emergency braking, collision warnings—systems that only work if they’re calibrated correctly after a windshield replacement. We do that calibration on-site, so your safety features actually function when you need them.
We’ve been serving North Merrick and Nassau County since 2016. The owner, Mike, does every install himself. Twenty years in the industry, Dinitrol certified, New York State certified mobile repair shop.
You’re not getting a rotating crew of techs or a call center in another state. You’re getting someone who’s done this over 10,000 times and treats your car the same way he’d treat his own. That’s why every job comes with a lifetime warranty—because we’re not going anywhere, and neither is our work.
North Merrick drivers deal with plenty: potholes on Merrick Avenue, debris on the Southern State, rock chips from construction trucks near Hempstead Turnpike. We’ve seen it all, and we know what it takes to get you back on the road safely.
You reach out—phone, text, website form, whatever’s easiest. We ask a few questions about your vehicle, the damage, and whether you’re going through insurance. If you are, we contact your carrier and handle the claim from there.
We schedule a time that works for you. Could be your driveway, your workplace parking lot, even a covered garage if the weather’s bad. We bring everything needed: OEM-quality glass, tools, calibration equipment if your car requires it.
The work itself usually takes an hour or two, depending on the vehicle and whether ADAS calibration is involved. We remove the damaged glass, prep the frame, install the new windshield, and calibrate the camera system if needed. Before we leave, we walk you through the curing time and any care instructions—usually you’re good to drive within an hour, fully cured within 24.
If it’s a simple chip repair, we’re talking 30 minutes. If it’s a full replacement with calibration, plan for closer to two hours. Either way, you’re not sitting in a waiting room or dealing with a rental car.
Ready to get started?
Every windshield replacement includes OEM-quality glass—the same specs as what came from the factory. We’re not using aftermarket glass that doesn’t fit right or distorts your view. You’re getting the real thing, installed correctly, with a lifetime warranty that covers workmanship and leaks.
If your vehicle has ADAS—and most cars from 2016 onward do—we calibrate the system after installation. That’s not optional. Your forward-facing camera needs to be recalibrated so your emergency braking, lane departure warnings, and collision avoidance systems work as designed. Skipping this step means those features might not trigger when you need them, or they’ll throw false warnings constantly.
We also handle sunroof repairs, side window replacements, and chip repairs. Insurance claims are managed directly—we bill your carrier, provide all required documentation, and make sure nothing gets denied because of missing paperwork. And because we’re mobile, you’re not losing time driving to a shop in Bellmore or Freeport and waiting around.
North Merrick’s roads aren’t kind to windshields. Between the salt, the potholes, and the constant construction on Sunrise Highway, damage happens. When it does, you need someone who knows what they’re doing and shows up when they say they will.
Most auto insurance policies in New York include glass coverage, and many come with a zero-deductible option specifically for windshield repairs and replacements. That means you could pay nothing out of pocket.
We work directly with all major carriers—State Farm, Geico, Allstate, Progressive, and others. When you call, we’ll verify your coverage, handle the claim filing, and communicate with your insurance company throughout the process. You’re not stuck making phone calls or filling out forms.
If you’re not sure what your policy covers, we can check that for you. It takes a few minutes, and you’ll know exactly what you’re responsible for before we schedule anything. In most cases, it’s zero.
ADAS stands for Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems—the cameras and sensors that power your car’s safety features. If your vehicle has automatic emergency braking, lane-keeping assist, adaptive cruise control, or collision warnings, it has ADAS.
Most of these systems rely on a camera mounted behind your rearview mirror, attached to the windshield. When that windshield is replaced, the camera’s angle and alignment shift—even by a millimeter. That’s enough to throw off the system’s accuracy. Your emergency braking might not trigger in time, or your lane assist could make erratic corrections.
Calibration realigns the camera to the manufacturer’s specifications. We use the same equipment and procedures required by your vehicle’s manufacturer, and we do it on-site during the windshield replacement. It’s not an upsell—it’s a requirement for your safety systems to work correctly. And yes, most insurance policies cover it as part of the windshield replacement claim.
A standard windshield replacement takes about an hour to 90 minutes. If your car requires ADAS calibration, add another 30 to 60 minutes depending on the vehicle. Chip repairs are faster—usually around 30 minutes.
Once the installation is complete, the adhesive needs time to cure. You can typically drive the car within one to two hours, but we recommend waiting longer if possible. Full cure time is 24 hours, and during that period you should avoid car washes, rough roads, and slamming the doors.
We’ll walk you through the specifics before we leave. Every vehicle is a little different, and factors like temperature and humidity affect cure time. If you need to drive sooner, we’ll let you know what’s safe. But if you can let it sit for a few hours, that’s always better.
We use OEM-equivalent glass—meaning it meets the same specifications as the original windshield that came with your car from the factory. It’s made to fit your vehicle’s exact dimensions, with the same thickness, tint, and features like rain sensors or heating elements if your car has them.
Aftermarket glass is cheaper, but it’s not always a perfect fit. You might get distortion, wind noise, or leaks down the road. Some aftermarket options don’t accommodate ADAS cameras properly, which creates calibration issues or outright system failures.
OEM-quality glass costs a bit more, but it’s what your insurance typically covers, and it’s what we install on every job. You’re getting the same quality as a dealership replacement, done at your location, with a lifetime warranty. There’s no reason to cut corners on something that affects your visibility and safety every time you drive.
We can still do the work if you have covered shelter—a garage, carport, or parking structure. The adhesive won’t cure properly if it’s exposed to rain or snow during installation, so we need protection from precipitation.
If you don’t have access to covered space and the weather’s bad, we’ll reschedule. You can either meet us at our shop or pick a new mobile appointment when conditions improve. We’re not going to rush a job in bad weather and risk a leak or improper seal.
North Merrick winters and spring storms are unpredictable, so we build flexibility into the schedule. If the forecast changes or something comes up, just let us know. We’ve been doing this long enough to know that sometimes the weather doesn’t cooperate—and that’s fine. We’d rather do it right than do it fast.
Pricing depends on your vehicle’s make, model, and year, plus whether ADAS calibration is required. A standard windshield replacement without calibration typically runs between $200 and $400. If calibration is needed, expect closer to $400 to $600 total.
Luxury vehicles, larger SUVs, and cars with advanced features like heads-up displays or embedded antennas cost more because the glass itself is more expensive and the installation is more complex. We’ll give you an exact quote once we know what you’re driving.
That said, most people don’t pay out of pocket. Insurance usually covers the full cost of windshield replacement in New York, especially if you have comprehensive coverage with a glass rider. We’ll check your policy before scheduling anything, so you know what to expect. And if you are paying yourself, we’ll make sure you understand exactly what you’re getting for that price—OEM glass, lifetime warranty, professional installation, and calibration if needed.
