Calibration ensures the camera’s angle and positioning match the manufacturer’s specifications. It’s not optional if you want those features to actually protect you in an emergency.

The catch is timing. Temperature changes, road vibrations, and even running your defroster can turn a small chip into a spreading crack within days. Once a crack extends more than a few inches or reaches the edge of the windshield, repair isn’t an option anymore. You’re looking at full replacement at that point.

We use OEM-equivalent glass that meets or exceeds the original manufacturer’s specifications. OEM means Original Equipment Manufacturer, the same glass your vehicle came with from the factory. OEM-equivalent glass is made to the same standards but may come from a different supplier. The fit, thickness, and quality are identical.
Some shops use cheaper aftermarket glass that doesn’t fit as precisely or meet the same safety standards. You’ll notice the difference in wind noise, fit around the edges, and how well it holds up over time. We don’t use that glass because it causes problems, and problems mean callbacks and unhappy customers.
For vehicles with ADAS systems, using the correct glass is even more important. The camera mounting area needs to be precisely manufactured to maintain proper calibration. Cheap glass can have distortions or incorrect dimensions that interfere with sensor accuracy. We’re not cutting corners on materials because it creates liability and ruins the reputation we’ve spent years building across Long Island.
The lifetime warranty covers any defects in materials or workmanship for as long as you own the vehicle. If the glass cracks due to installation error, the seal fails and causes leaks, or there’s any issue related to how we did the job, we’ll fix it at no cost to you.
The warranty doesn’t cover new damage from rocks, accidents, or normal wear and tear. If you hit a pothole and crack the windshield six months later, that’s a new claim, not a warranty issue. But if the windshield starts leaking because the seal wasn’t applied correctly, or if there’s a stress crack from improper installation, that’s on us.
