That camera behind your rearview mirror isn’t just for show—it controls your lane-keeping, automatic braking, and collision alerts. When the windshield gets replaced, that camera has to be recalibrated or those systems won’t work right. We do that on-site with the same equipment dealerships use.
Insurance claims are handled start to finish. Most comprehensive policies in New York cover glass with little to no deductible. We bill your insurer directly, walk you through what’s covered, and keep the paperwork simple. If you’re paying out of pocket, our pricing is straightforward and typically less than what you’d pay going through a big chain that marks up parts and labor.

That adds another $250 to $500 depending on the vehicle make and model.

New York doesn’t legally require recalibration after glass replacement, but your insurance company might. More importantly, your vehicle manufacturer does. Skipping calibration can void your warranty and leave you liable if those systems fail. We handle it on-site with certified equipment, so there’s no second trip to a dealership and no guessing whether it was done correctly.
Most windshield replacements take 45 minutes to an hour from start to finish. That includes removing the old glass, prepping the frame, installing the new windshield, and letting the adhesive set enough for safe driving. If ADAS calibration is needed, add another 30 to 45 minutes.
Side windows and rear windows are faster—usually 30 minutes or less. Sunroof glass depends on the vehicle, but most are done in under an hour. Chip repairs take about 15 minutes.
The adhesive needs time to cure fully before the car is safe to drive at highway speeds. We use fast-curing urethane that’s safe for local driving within an hour, but we recommend waiting three to four hours before hitting the LIE or any high-speed roads. We’ll give you specific instructions based on the temperature and humidity that day, since both affect cure time.
Most comprehensive auto insurance policies in New York cover glass repair and replacement, and mobile service is almost always included at no extra cost. Your insurer doesn’t care where the work gets done—they care that it’s done by a certified shop using quality materials.
We work directly with all major insurance companies. That means we file the claim, handle the paperwork, and bill them directly. You don’t pay upfront and wait for reimbursement. If there’s a deductible, we collect that on-site and your insurer covers the rest.

If the chip is smaller than a quarter and not directly in the driver’s line of sight, it can usually be repaired. We inject optical-grade resin into the damaged area, which bonds with the glass and restores structural integrity. The repair takes about 15 minutes and costs a fraction of a full replacement.
If the chip is larger than a quarter, if it’s cracked, or if it’s directly in front of the driver, replacement is the safer option. Repairs work well for small impacts, but they don’t make the damage invisible—you’ll still see a faint mark. And if the chip has already started to spread into a crack, resin won’t stop it from getting worse.
New York State inspection rules are strict about windshield damage. If the crack or chip is in the driver’s view and larger than three-quarters of an inch, your car won’t pass inspection. We’ll assess the damage when we arrive and give you an honest recommendation. If a repair will hold and pass inspection, we’ll tell you. If it won’t, we’ll explain why replacement makes more sense.
