Your windshield cracks. You call your insurance. They give you a list of shops and tell you to figure out the rest.
Now you’re looking at taking time off work, arranging a ride, sitting in a waiting room, and hoping the job gets done right. That’s the old way.
Here’s what actually happens when you work with us. You pick the location—your driveway, your office parking lot, anywhere in Suffolk County. The work gets done while you’re inside finishing emails or having lunch. Your insurance claim gets handled directly, so you’re not playing middleman. And if your car has a front-facing camera, the ADAS calibration happens on-site with the same equipment the dealership uses.
You don’t lose half a day. You don’t coordinate rides. You get your car back the way it’s supposed to be, and you move on.
We started First Class Auto Glass because there was a gap in Lake Ronkonkoma and across Long Island. Cars were getting more complex—cameras, sensors, lane departure warnings—but most local shops weren’t equipped to handle the calibration work that comes with a windshield replacement.
We’ve been doing this for over 20 years, officially launched in 2016, and we’re Dinitrol certified and a certified mobile New York State repair shop. That means when you call, you’re talking directly to the person who’s going to show up and do the work. Not a call center. Not a dispatcher who doesn’t know your car.
You’re working with someone who’s done this thousands of times and knows exactly what your insurance company needs, what your vehicle requires, and how to get it done without the runaround.
You reach out—phone, text, or through the website. We ask a few questions about your vehicle, the damage, and your insurance information if you’re filing a claim.
From there, we contact your insurance company directly and handle the claim filing, documentation, and approval. Most people in New York pay little to nothing out of pocket because glass coverage here often comes with no deductible. We confirm that before we schedule anything.
Once approved, we set up a time that works for you and come to your location. We remove the damaged glass, prep the frame, install the new windshield using OEM-grade materials, and let the adhesive cure properly. If your vehicle has a front-facing camera or any ADAS features, we calibrate those systems on-site using manufacturer-spec equipment.
The whole process typically takes a few hours depending on the vehicle. You get a lifetime warranty on the work, and we make sure your insurance company has everything they need so there’s no follow-up headache on your end.

If you’ve got a small chip or crack, repair is almost always the better option. It’s faster, costs less, and prevents the damage from spreading. Most insurance companies cover it completely with no deductible.
For larger cracks or damage in your line of sight, you’re looking at a full windshield replacement. That includes removing the old glass, cleaning and prepping the frame, installing a new windshield that meets or exceeds OEM standards, and making sure the seal is watertight and secure.
If your car was made in the last few years, there’s a good chance it has ADAS—automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, adaptive cruise control. Those systems rely on cameras and sensors mounted on or near your windshield. When the glass gets replaced, those systems need recalibration. We handle that on-site with the same diagnostic tools your dealership uses.
We also handle sunroof glass, door glass, back glass, and side mirrors. Basically, if it’s glass on your vehicle and it’s damaged, we can fix it or replace it. And because we’re mobile, we bring everything to you—across Lake Ronkonkoma, Ronkonkoma, Holbrook, Bohemia, and the rest of Suffolk and Nassau Counties.
In most cases, yes. New York allows you to add glass coverage to your auto policy that isn’t subject to your standard deductible. That means if you have comprehensive coverage with a glass rider, your windshield repair or replacement is usually covered at 100%.
We work directly with all major insurance companies and handle the claim process from start to finish. That includes verifying your coverage, filing the claim, getting approval, and billing the insurance company directly. You’re not stuck playing phone tag or filling out paperwork.
If you’re not sure what your policy covers, we can check that for you before scheduling anything. There are no surprise bills, no hidden fees. We make sure you know exactly what you’re paying, if anything, before we start the work.
Yes. If your vehicle has a front-facing camera or any advanced driver-assistance features, calibration isn’t optional—it’s required by the vehicle manufacturer.
Here’s why it matters. Those cameras and sensors are calibrated to a very specific position relative to your windshield. Even a slight shift during installation can throw off the system’s accuracy. Your lane departure warning might not alert you when you drift. Your automatic emergency braking might not engage in time to prevent a collision.
Most insurance companies require proof of calibration to maintain coverage compliance. Without it, you could be held liable if one of those systems fails and causes an accident. We use OEM calibration procedures and the same diagnostic equipment your dealership uses. The calibration happens on-site, so you don’t need a separate appointment or another trip somewhere else.
For most vehicles, the actual installation takes about an hour. But the adhesive needs time to cure before you can drive the car, and that’s usually another hour or two depending on temperature and humidity.
We don’t rush the cure time. That’s where a lot of mobile services cut corners, and it’s also where leaks and wind noise problems start. We follow the adhesive manufacturer’s guidelines to the minute, because a windshield that’s installed fast but fails in a month isn’t doing you any favors.
If your car needs ADAS calibration, that adds another 30 to 60 minutes depending on the system. We handle everything in one visit, so you’re not dealing with multiple appointments or coordinating follow-ups. Start to finish, plan on about two to three hours from the time we arrive to the time you’re good to drive.
It depends on the size, location, and type of damage. If the crack is smaller than a dollar bill, not in your direct line of sight, and not on the edge of the glass, repair is usually possible.
Repairs work by injecting a clear resin into the damaged area, which bonds with the glass and prevents the crack from spreading. It’s not invisible, but it’s a lot less noticeable than you’d think, and it restores most of the windshield’s structural integrity. Most insurance companies cover repairs with no deductible, and the process takes about 30 minutes.
If the crack is longer than six inches, directly in the driver’s line of sight, or if it’s compromised the inner layer of the laminate, replacement is the safer option. We’ll assess the damage and give you an honest recommendation. If repair is an option, we’ll tell you. If it’s not, we’ll explain why and what replacement involves.
We cover all of Suffolk County and Nassau County, including Lake Ronkonkoma, Ronkonkoma, Holbrook, Bohemia, Centereach, Selden, Farmingville, Medford, Patchogue, and surrounding towns. We also service parts of Queens depending on the job and schedule.
Mobile service means we come to you—whether that’s your home, your workplace, a parking lot, or even a job site. As long as we have a flat surface and access to your vehicle, we can do the work on-site.
If you’re outside our typical service area, reach out anyway. We’ve made exceptions before depending on the situation and the type of work involved. The goal is to make this as convenient as possible for you, and sometimes that means going a little further than usual.
Our lifetime warranty covers any defects in materials or workmanship for as long as you own the vehicle. That includes leaks, wind noise, adhesive failure, or any issues that result from improper installation.
If something goes wrong that’s related to our work, we come back and fix it at no charge. No fine print, no expiration date, no runaround. We stand behind every job because we’ve been doing this long enough to know what holds up and what doesn’t.
The warranty doesn’t cover damage from accidents, vandalism, or normal wear and tear that’s unrelated to the installation. But if the windshield we installed leaks during a rainstorm or starts making noise on the highway, that’s on us, and we’ll make it right.
